I want to teach you how to draw the wildlife you see around you. To capture on paper the fascinating and beautiful subjects found in wildlife. What you find here on this site will go a long in helping you to achieve this.

To help in your appreciation of British wildlife, I want to share with you my observations from my nature diaries which are amply illustrated by the many photos I have taken on my field trips and will show you the beauty, diversity, wonders and surprises of nature. The captivating sight of a beautiful peacock butterfly or the tumbling aerial display of marsh harriers, coots feeding their young or a cock pheasant having a dust bath and much, much more.

My diaries will assist you in your understanding of nature and, together with the other information on this site, you will see an improvement in your skills of wildlife watching. Also to help you I have included little tests so if you want to you can have a go at identifing the bird, flower, insect etc. that I present to you within the diary.

My diaries are mainly from my exploration of the south eastern part of Kent where I live. This area has a rich diverse landscape ranging from downlands to marshes, also rivers, woods and a variety of coastline from high chalk cliffs to wide sandy and shingle beaches.

So I hope you will enjoy and benefit from your visit.                        Michael Terry  Photo by Sue Hume.
